The very first thing that anyone needs in life to become successful and happy is to be confident. If you don't think highly of yourself, then you probably won't have the will to accomplish much, and will rot in wasted potential. Low self-esteem is an affliction haunting many people and stopping them from doing great things.
To find confidence is simple to say, but difficult to do. It is something like "do not care what other people think," however we clearly do need to care what others think in such a way to not offend. We also care how others perceive us no matter what in some situations, like in a job where we're looking to move up.
However the first thing to do that will shock your confidence into gear is to take a step back, take a realistic look at yourself for a moment, and face facts.
You are who you are, and you may as well like it. There will no doubt be some things about yourself that you don't like, that you can't change. You have to learn how to live with those things. Though there will also be things about yourself you do not like that you can change, and you should work on those things gradually over time, to keep yourself motivated.
The key to confidence and having a high self-esteem is to keep yourself occupied and have realistic expectations of yourself. Make short term, mid-term, and long term goals socially and financially, and figure out how to meet your goals. In this way it is not very difficult to become successful, make money and retire at age 40. You just have to start as early as possible.
One step at a time, more confidence boosters to come soon.
