How do you Find Happiness in the world today? We live in this big and mixed up crazy world where everyone is fighting and confrontational, how are we supposed to make it, "little old me?"
Well I certainly hope by now that we've gotten over the "little old me" complex that I mentioned in my last entry. By now we should all have learned how to be confident in oneself, first and foremost. If you can't trust yourself, then who can you trust? If you haven't read it, then I can wait. Really, go ahead, I'll still be here.
Alright, now that we've learned how to be confident, or reminded in case of the more frequent readers, we can move on to happiness. As soon as we build up a confidence in oneself, we must then go out into the world. The problem is that the world is not happy or peaceful - the world is confrontation. If you wish to be successful at life you must first realize and accept two things - life is a struggle and we are warriors in life. Now, repeat that after me.
1. Life is a struggle.
2. We are warriors in life.
Good, now that we understand that, we can start to figure out just how to become happy and find some inner peace. Whatever it is that is bothering you, keeping you depressed or upset or worried, you must come to a sudden realization that you would be amazed most people do not have any clue about.
I can control my emotions. Not only that, but there is only one person who decides whether you are going to be happy or upset, angry or sad. That person is you. You must look yourself in the mirror confrontationally - as a warrior in life - and must make the decision to be happy and be at peace, despite the absurdity of the world.
In order to maintain sanity while in a mental state like this, I have found that taking walks in nature parks helps quite a bit. Laying in a field lazily staring up at the stars can do it, as well. On the whole, anything that allows you to view the world through a perspective much larger than your own, if occasionally focused on can give you the mindset needed to remain calm, happy and overall; at peace.
